Park Geun-hye's lawyer: Park Geun-hye will attend the Constitutional Court debate and express her opinion on the appropriate date

Attorney Heo Hoon-seok for impeached South Korean President Park Geun-hye says Park will attend the arguments when appropriate at a special constitutional court trial on whether she should be removed from office, the court said Tuesday.

The constitutional court set Jan. 14 as the date for starting the formal hearings on Park's impeachment, which will take place up to five times.

Trial schedule (Korean local time)

The 1st court debate : Jan. 14 (Sat) at 2 p.m.

The 2nd court debate : Jan. 16 (Mon) at 2 p.m.

The 3rd court debate : Jan. 21 (Sat) at 2 p.m.

The 4th court debate : Jan. 23 (Mon) at 2 p.m.

The 5th court debate : Feb. 4 (Sat) at 2 p.m.
