Romano: Felipe is expected to join Marseille for free, and will sign a formal contract after the medical examination on next Monday

Luiz Felipe, the center-back, is set to join Marseille next Monday when he will take his medical before the deal is completed.

The 27-year-old will be a free agent, with his contract with Al-Jihad ending and he has refused to sign a renewal of his contract.

He had links with Juventus, Napoli, and Roma, but he is heading to Ligue 1, and according to the journalist from the transfer market Fabrizio Romano: "Marseille have completed the signing of defender Luiz Felipe. The former Sassuolo and La Liga player will have a medical on January 10 before joining."
