Thunder clinches 14-game winning streak! Alexander has 33 points and 7 rebounds, Aaron-Wiggins scores 15 points in the fourth quarter, and Knicks' 9-game winning streak comes to an end

With the 2023-24 NBA regular season continuing to unfold, the Western Conference (WC) #1 Oklahoma City Thunder will clash against the Eastern Conference (EC) #3 New York Knicks, and now, the Thunder, riding a league-best thirteen-game winning streak to a 28-5 record, will try to secure another impressive win against a red-hot Knicks team (on a nine-game winning streak with a 24-10 record) looking to remain hot.

In today's game, from the jump, both teams went into an offensive battle as both Mikal Bridges and Chris Boucher led the Thunder scoring parade early on while the Knicks' five-man starters got going for them. Then, even more points were poured into the game as reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished strong with a 2-for-4 shooting night to end the first quarter and went on a 4-for-6 free-throw shooting night which helped his side secure a +33 lead. In the second quarter, the momentum seemed shifted to the Knicks. Oklahoma City started missing many shots (especially on fast breaks after taking rebounds on defense) and New York went on a 13-3 run to end this period with a +12 lead.

Then, both teams scored more points to help their respective sides to close out the scoring battle of this game in the third period. In the last part of this contest, Bridges and Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder for the win while Josh Hart and RJ Barrett closed out the scoring parade of this game while leading their respective teams to close out this one. In the game's final moments, the Knicks' defense collapsed, and Gilgeous-Alexander went on a 39-15 run to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to their fourteenth consecutive victory.
